Aug 19 - July 18 Project engineer KP 22 

Project engineer for design of mechnical structures for subsea cable works

​

Sept 18 - Aug 19   Project Engineer / lead Martin Linge H2S Scavenger modification.

                                 Replacement of already installed pumps and prefabricate discharge panels. Work consisted of follow up of budget and plan, specifying procurement packages, periodically reporting, updating documentation and follow-up of procured packages.

May 17 - June 18   Project engineer at Designbanken / 4C Solutions

                                 Concept engineering/ Sales for Pipeline Repair Systems (PRS) and subsea tie in systems. Concept development and detail design for fabrication. Tooling include Pipeline lifting tools, pipeline repair connector handling tools, concrete coating removal tools and tie in tools. Main projects include, in prioritized order:

• COOEC National PRS – concept development, sales, detail design and fabrication drawings.

• Dolphin PRS - design and technical support for procurement.

• Norne ERB pig launcher - drawing support.

Jun 16 – May 17    Senior Engineer at Abyssus Marine Services

                                 R&D for an autonomous underwater vehicle. Mechanical design and subsea electronics integration, prototype development and testing. Key elements: Design for light weight and low cost, design for plastic moulding and machining, aluminium buckling, pressure compensation of electronics, electronic canisters with electrical penetrators and seals, general comprehension of seabed seismic.

May 12 – Mar 16     KONGSBERG Oil and Gas Technologies (former Apply Nemo)

                                 Project manager Kongsberg Manufacturing, Mar 15 – Mar 16

Production planning, purchase, production follow up, resource utilization and documentation. The position was established to continue the work from the production phase of Impex – APS Load Cell and Contingency Jack project in a 50 percent position. Main results from the work is an improved communication between the workshop and the engineering offices, saving production time and cost.

                                 Impex- APS Load Cell and Contingency Jack, Des 14 – Okt 15

Project client: Saipem

My role was Lead Engineer for design, engineering and fabrication of load cell system and contingency jack systems for APS (Adjustable pipe support). The tasks were concept design, detail design, integration of electronics and hydraulics, material purchase, sub-supplier follow-up, fabrication and testing of the system. The load cells and the jacks was delivered on time and with higher than expected accuracy. The contingency jacks performed so well that the client ordered 5 additional jacks, that also was delivered on time.

                                 Statoil – Polarled, Jun 13 – Des 14

Project client: Statoil

Design of landing plate for manifold arrangement, with landing and positioning system for pipeline. The work was based on already drafted design basis. Important elements from the design work was: Design of the slide plate in cooperation with seabed experts and installation contractor. Choice of beam profiles, based on availability and function. Planning of offshore lifting interfaces. Design of equipment for manipulation of pipeline, and removal equipment for pipeline laydown head. Design of interfaces towards manifold.

                                 GE - Julimar Detail Design Spools & Jumpers, Sept 12 – Jun 13

Client: GE Oil and Gas (client costumer: Apache)

Spool and well jumper design and production drawings. The work included design of fabrication / test stands and transportation stands. The design saved significant amount of parts compared to previous designs, and reduced the amount of welding.

                                 Tordis & Vigdis CPRT Project, Sept 12 – Jan 13

Project client: Statoil

Offshore campaign control pod retrieval and replacement, using Nemo Choke Pod Running Tool (CPRT).

                                 Akers Solutions - Snorre 2040 Concept Study, Sept 12

Project client: Aker Solutions

Concept study: conceptual design field layout with spools and GRP covers.

                                 Statoil - Skrugard and Havis Flowline Concept Study, May 12 – Oct 12           

Project client: Statoil

Design of riser bases, pipeline tees, PLEM, PLET, piging systems, conceptual design of pipeline bundle systems with towhead and Pipeline layout on seabed.

Aug 11 – May 12     A-Tek AS                

Design engineer. Work includes all stages of the design process from design basis and cost estimates to detail engineering of fuel storage tanks. Mostly related to airports and main distribution central.

I contributed to showing the capacities in 3D modelling resulting in the company shifting more of its work from 2D to 3D for suitable tasks.

Jan 10 – Des 10     CERN

Scholarship in the Technical Student Program. Mechanical measurements for next generation particle accelerator. Vibration and thermal properties. Signal treatment and analyses. Development of test equipment. Testing of prototype materials.
